New: The 3rd Bi-Annual 2022 MD 4-H Issue Forum - June 28-30, 2022
The MD 4-H Issue Forum engages the youth of Maryland to be deliberate about addressing important issues/community needs. This program is offered every other year on campus at the University of Maryland, College Park.
This year's theme is: Climate Change
This will be a 3-day event divided into 3 distinct segments:
1. FRAMING: Participate in a dynamic opening session with ice breakers, a panel session and an engaging youth/adult keynote group.
2. DISCOVERY: A full day of hands-on workshops, a field trip, a service project and more team-building with new friends across the state.
3. ACTION: Creating and sharing your action plan to community stakeholders to kick off your community service and advocacy project.

Fees
Early Bird rate (April 27 - May 22): $150
Regular rate (May 23 - June 3): $175
Chaperone rate: $0
Scholarships
Some county/city 4-H programs may pay part or all of your registration fee. Contact your local 4-H office to learn if scholarships are available and instructions on paying your fee.
There are two payment options for this event:

Payment in Full by Credit Card – The 4-H family pays the registration fee in 4-H Online, using the credit/debit card attached to their family profile.

Payment by Check(s) – The 4-H family, County/City 4-H Program and/or a sponsor pays for all or part of the registration fee. This form is required for check payments (Download Link Here - click the icon at top right to download )
Please contact your 4-H Educator before selecting a payment method.
If your county/city 4-H program will pay for all or part of your registration fee, you must have your 4-H Educator sign this payment form before you send it in. Only county/city 4-H offices will be billed or invoiced for sponsored registration fees.
If you have a sponsor who wishes to pay all or part of your registration fee, you must make arrangements with them to submit payment along with a copy of this form to the State 4-H Office on or before Friday, June 21, 2022. It is your responsibility to make sure the payment has been made to the Maryland 4-H Foundation
Full payment must be received by June 21, 2022. Registrations that remain unpaid after June 21, 2022, will be cancelled. Cancellation for full refund will be accepted through June 3, 2022. No refunds will be made after that date.

Historical Information
The 2020 Issue Forum was centered on Water Access and Quality. Locations around the state received grants to create and implement action plans in their own community.
The 2018 Issue Forum centered around Food Justice: Access and Security. Youth were empowered to develop action plans around food security that they can carry out in their local communities.
