Want to be a 4-H Camp Counselor?

Information about being a 4-H Camp Counselor:
  • 30 hours of leadership training is required. 
  • Training will be a combination of virtual, self-paced and in-person training running between February - July.
  • Camp runs Week  #1 - July 14-18; Week #2 - July 21-25 
    • 8:00am - 6:00pm for Counselors.
Responsibilities include:
  • Supervise small groups of children
  • Ensure the safety of campers
  • Plan and implement activities
  • Monitor pool safety
  • Use positive strategies to redirect camper behavior
  • Comply with camp staff policies
Qualifications include:
  • Patience
  • Caring
  • Enthusiasm for making a positive impact on children
  • Relevant experience, such as volunteering with children, coaching sports, or leading youth groups a plus, but not required
