Extension Advisory Committee

Caroline County Extension Advisory Committee (CCEAC)

The Caroline County Extension Advisory Committee plays a crucial role in guiding the University of Maryland Extension’s (UME) efforts to address the needs, challenges, and assets within the county.  Serving as a bridge between community stakeholders, extension educators, and the University, the Committee ensures that Extension programs remain relevant, responsive, and impactful for the Caroline County community.

The Committee advises on program development in areas such as agriculture, horticulture and gardening, environment and natural resources, youth development, and nutrition and wellness education.  By gathering insights from residents, organizations, and local leaders, the Committee helps Extension design initiatives that address challenges from food access and public health to environmental sustainability.

The CCEAC advocates for the value of Extension services and helps to connect resources that support sustainable, community-driven solutions.  Through its collaborative and inclusive approach, the Committee empowers Caroline County residents, enhances local partnerships, and champions resilience for a brighter, healthier county.

The Committee serves in an advisory capacity, has no legal authority or responsibilities, and assumes no liability for the actions of Extension.  Current EAC members include Caroline County residents and representatives from organizations such as Caroline County Public Schools, Caroline County Government, and local businesses.
