- Cook, stirring, until onions are soft, about 3 minutes.
- Add sweet potatoes, carrots, and broth.
- Turn the heat to medium-high and bring to a boil.
- Lower the heat to low and simmer until potatoes and carrots are soft.
- For a chunkier soup, serve as is.
- For a smooth soup, blend in batches in blender.
- Divide soup into 6 bowls.
