How Do We Serve the Residents of Worcester County?
University of Maryland Extension- Worcester County is a unique organization that provides research based, informal education to citizens of the County and surrounding area. Our educational programs cover a vast array of topics, including agricultural production, natural resources, food safety, nutrition and healthy lifestyles, financial capability, 4-H youth development, volunteer development, master gardeners, and agricultural nutrient management. These educational and training programs provide current, practical information through workshops, clinics, webinars, newsletters, publications and hands-on experiential learning. Our mission remains to provide solutions in our community.
The University of Maryland Extension Office is located in Worcester's county seat, Snow Hill, along the mighty Pocomoke River. We work in partnership with our County government, the University of Maryland College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, University of Maryland Eastern Shore, and the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
