General Forestry Course

Welcome!

Our self-directed, non-credit course is designed for individuals wishing to increase their understanding of forests and forest management. Specifically, the General Forestry Course targets Maryland forest landowners and other citizens with an interest in the principles and practices of forestry. The course is offered online through the university's Electronic Learning Management System (ELMS).

The next session of the General Forestry Course is August 25 - December 8, 2025. Registration through Eventbrite will open in July. Please check back for more information.

Enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis.
