Fundamentals of Nutrient Management 2024
The Fundamentals of Nutrient Management is a course organized by the Maryland Department of Agriculture and University of Maryland Extension Nutrient Management Program to prepare individuals to take the Maryland nutrient management certification exam. Topics include an overview of environmental and natural resources, soil science and fertility, nutrient cycling, manure and fertilizer management, general MD nutrient management regulations, biosolids management and regulations, phosphorus risk assessments, and how to compile a nutrient management plan. The course recordings can be accessed any time through the links below. The course is also typically taught once in-person each summer.
