Woodland Stewardship Education

The Woodland Stewardship Education (WSE) program helps connect woodland property owners to their land. Through a variety of Extension offerings, WSE brings together professionals from such fields as forestry, wildlife ecology, and natural resource management to enable woodland property owners to make sound and informed decisions about managing their land.

WSE initiatives are supported by funding from the USDA Renewable Resources Extension Act (RREA). To learn more about the RREA, visit this site (external link).

The Woods in Your Backyard

Owners of even just a few acres can make a positive difference in their environment by planning and implementing simple stewardship practices learned through the Woodland Stewardship Education's “The Woods in Your Backyard” program.
