Find Certified Growers & Retailers
The Maryland Department of Agriculture’s Maryland’s Best Native Plants offers a free and voluntary certification program for growers and retailers. The program aims to increase the availability and diversity of native plants, and to make it easier for consumers to find Maryland native plants through use of a logo created for retailers who become certified.

Close Encounters with Agriculture
Close Encounters with Agriculture is a free award-winning program offered each year to Montgomery County fourth-grade students from the public, and private sectors. Since 1993, over 100,000 students have participated in this hands-on educational program designed to teach students about modern agriculture, maintaining a robust environment, and making healthy nutritional choices.
