Historic Linthicum Walks
is a home and farm complex in Gambrills, Maryland, owned and managed by Friends of Historic Linthicum Walks. In 2021, the Anne Arundel Master Gardener (AAMG) program converted an existing garden bed on the site into a demonstration garden with over 50 native and non-native, pollinator-friendly plant species.
The goal of this AAMG garden is to demonstrate sustainable gardening practices, the importance of pollinators, and the ecological importance of native plants. Master Gardeners tend the garden and provide environmental education through signage, tours, and events. The site is also registered with the Monarch Waystation Program, pledges not to use pesticides or herbicides, and strives to remove or manage invasive plants. Historic Linthicum Walks is also on the National Register of Historic Places and has level one arboretum status.
